Single User License Agreement Rev. 6/25/98

This is a legal agreement between you, the Licensee, and the Licensor (Vedic Engineering, a division of Engineering Depot, Inc.) By using this product, you agree to abide by the following restrictions. The rights of the Licensor are protected by US copyright and other laws, as well as international trade agreements.

OWNERSHIP:These materials have been compiled by Vedic Engineering and/or its affiliates at a substantial cost, and ownership of such materials and the physical CD-ROM and disks on which they are recorded shall always remain the property of Vedic Engineering . All copies of materials are to be returned to Vedic Engineering if: 1) License is terminated for any reason, 2) materials are replaced with another version, or 3) request of Vedic Engineering if Vedic Engineering believes that the terms of the License have been violated. The Licensee will take all reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized use or distribution of materials, and when such use is known, shall 1) take measures to correct that use, and 2) notify Vedic Engineering in writing.
SCOPE OF ACCESS for Machine-readable texts (as listed in appendix A):
1. Licensee is basically permitted to make use of the materials as desired, as long as this use is not in any way shared with or distributed to others. Enhancements to materials may be shared with other licensees, as long as a copy is given to Vedic Engineering , along with permission for use and distribution of such enhancements.
2. The Licensee is encouraged to make other use of these texts, but must notify Vedic Engineering in writing before doing so, and negotiate reasonable license fees.
3. Licensee shall not be restricted from publishing the results of scholarly investigation and analysis of licensed materials, as long as clear reference to ownership of these texts is made to Vedic Engineering, Script Software, and Cosmic Software.
4. The Licensee may not sell, lease, or loan any portion of materials to other individuals or institutions without specific written permission from Vedic Engineering.
5. Vedic Engineering has made all reasonable efforts to insure that applicable copyright laws have been followed, but makes no warranty whatsoever.

Licensee Contributions:: Licensee is strongly encouraged to help with improvement of the included texts and add new texts to the list. Please send any ideas for improvement, or corrections, or new texts that you have typed in, to Vedic Engineering (c/o CSSETZER@MUM.EDU ) , along with permission for redistribution. Whatever contributions Vedic Engineering deems appropriate will be included on the next CD-ROM revision and be available to licensees of other texts.
